Very well pricedgreat itemThe wood finish comes right off in a dishwasher and I think it will come off in a sort time even when being hand cleaned in a sink with only warm water. The wood without the finish feels very rough and the color looks like is it very old. The blades are good and the overall shape and feel is fine but the handles are just too low a quality for any sort of regular use.I very happy with my ordered wooden handle spreaders. They are almost the same as the Pamper Chef spreader that I lost while moving. I got several for the price of one PC’s spreader!I hesitated to buy these as they are wood handled, wood and washing, uggh. I wanted more like the plastic handled one that my family fights over and is so easy to clean. The price of these made it easier to get, thinking if I didn't care for them after using them for a bit, I'd just throw them away. Well I still don't like the wood handles, The wood is unsealed, so we have made it a policy that they don't get placed in water to soak. Hand washed they get little water on the handles during wash up. I have treated them with mineral oil, much like a wooden cutting board, I'll see if they last. I will say one really good thing about them...They are sharp, on one side, a serrated edge that cuts meat quickly and cleanly. Will they stay sharp? I don't know, but I have only four out for use now, keeping the other four untouched until they are needed.A couple of blades have rusted and had to be thrown awayI'm giving these as Christmas gifts and everyone who has received them thus far are super excited that they now have something better than just a "butter knife" to use. The amount in the package for the price is excellent. I am very pleased with this product and ordered more for future gifts!Appears to be suitable for use I need it for. Spatula serrations are sharp, and cut easily. Handles could be a little thicker and larger at end (flare shaped) to make easier to hold. Overall good product and great value
